My main interest in geosemiotics is in how people actually use Discourses in Place (Scollon and Scollon, 2003). 

Part of a study, which I have now been conducting for 4 years, focuses on the use of European symbols within European cities.  You can find some of such examples here from Spain and from Germany.

Another part of the same study focuses on the use of national symbols throughout European countries.  The image to the right, for example, was taken in an Italian foodstore in Germany. 

Currently, I am also studying gender as portrayed in Discourses in Place.
